Consider Amazing Rug Pads

With the addition of a rug pad, that friction and wear and tear is slowed down, thus extending the life of your rug. Obviously this is like rug pads. As you can imagine, a rug is not simply laid on top of the concrete or wood that is already in place. A rug pad cushions your rug and acts as a buffer, keeping it from being constantly smashed.

And now that same walk can be even more soothing as your feet meet a softer surface with each step. Even if you have a hand knotted rug with a high number of knots per square inch and have difficultly seeing the holes, they are there. But has little, or nothing, to do with carpet rug pads usually. And while you may not notice this early on, as time goes by, you will surely be able to tell that your rug is beginning to wear out.

This is similar to felt carpet padding frequently. There is nothing worse than a rug that is not laying flush on the ground.

Rug pads are engineered to be odor, mold and mildew proof. Over time, friction can rub through the finish of your floor. This may only be a thin layer of protection, but you will definitely be able to notice the difference when you are walking in your bare or sock feet.

Rug pads reduce the number of falls and slips. You don’t want the rug pad to show, so it should be cut to be at least 1/2″ smaller all the way around. You want to make sure that you get a rug pad that is of high quality, and of course, one that is known to get the job done. Rug pads come in all shapes and sizes and most can be sized with a pair of household scissors.
